Chemron Aqua Repello is a water-based penetrating sealer that protects concrete, sandstone, pavers and masonry from liquid and oil staining without changing how the surface looks or feels. One application bonds inside the substrate to form an invisible barrier — driveways shed water, factory floors resist oil drips, and sandstone paving keeps its natural colour, texture and slip-resistance.

Unlike solvent sealers, Chemron Aqua Repello is non-flammable, low odour, and safe to use indoors or outdoors. It will not yellow under UV, will not peel, and will not wear off in high-traffic areas. The finish stays invisible — no gloss, no colour shift, no change to slip rating.

Why it works

The sealer penetrates the substrate and bonds to the parent material, so protection lives inside the stone rather than sitting on top. There is no surface film to scratch off, and no need to strip and recoat every season.

How to use

1. Sweep away dust and loose debris.
2. Make sure the surface is clean and oil-free. Use a degreaser if needed.
3. Allow the surface to dry completely before applying.
4. Apply undiluted with a low-pressure sprayer (fan nozzle) or flat-head mop.
5. Apply a second coat while the first is still wet — approximately 30 minutes after the first.
6. Spread any puddles with a brush or broom.
7. Keep all traffic off the treated surface for at least 4 hours, or until dry.
8. Allow 12 hours to cure fully. Protect from water and rain during this period.

Avoid applying in hot or windy conditions.

Safety & handling

Chemron Aqua Repello is classified as non-hazardous and not a Dangerous Good. It is still a chemical sealer — use sensible handling practices.

• Wear safety glasses, gloves (nitrile rubber suits intermittent contact) and suitable workwear.
• Use in a well-ventilated area. Avoid inhalation of mist or aerosols when spraying.
• Avoid eye contact and repeated or prolonged skin contact.
• If in eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek medical advice.
• If on skin, remove contaminated clothing and flush the area with running water.
• If swallowed, rinse mouth and drink a glass of water. Do NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children and away from food, drink and animal feed.
• Store sealed and upright in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, out of direct sunlight and away from heat or ignition sources.

FAQs

Can I use Aqua Repello on sandstone paving? Yes. Aqua Repello is suited to sandstone, concrete pavers, masonry and other porous mineral surfaces. It penetrates the substrate to repel water and oil without changing colour, sheen or slip-resistance.

Will it change the look of my stone or concrete? No. Aqua Repello cures invisibly. It does not darken, gloss, or alter the texture or colour of the treated surface.

Does it make the surface slippery? No. Aqua Repello does not reduce slip-resistance, which is why it is commonly used on driveways, paths and factory floors.

How much area does one litre cover? The supplier data sheet lists coverage at 6–8 square metres per litre. Aqua Repello is applied in two coats wet-on-wet, so for accurate pack-size planning on your job, contact us before ordering.

How long before I can walk or drive on the sealed surface? Keep all traffic off the treated surface for at least 4 hours, or until completely dry. Allow 12 hours for a full cure, and protect from water and rain during that window.

Is Aqua Repello classified as a Dangerous Good? No. The SDS classifies Aqua Repello as non-hazardous (Safe Work Australia GHS 7) and not a Dangerous Good for road, rail, sea or air transport. It is non-combustible and low odour, but should still be handled with standard PPE (gloves and safety glasses).
