Disclaimer:
This product is designed to spot touch-up very mild etch marks over polished marble, limestone, travertine, and all other calcium-based stone materials. With stronger and stronger etch marks, this product will more and more lose its efficiency. This merely suggests that the profile being treated is in need of professional restoration. Mechanical grinding to re-hone with suitable abrasives along with marble polishing compounds to re-polish is most necessary. This task is to be undertaken by stone care professional. We cannot be held responsible if this product does not perform in your instance as the etch marks you have maybe somewhat severe and not mild. MB11 Marble Etch Remover - 170gms is meant for very mild etch marks and cannot replace professional restoration. Do not use it on darker stone types.

Q: Can I use MB-11 on honed or matte marble?
A: No. MB-11 is formulated specifically for polished marble, travertine, limestone, and onyx. It is not suitable for honed, tumbled, or textured surfaces, as it may cause uneven results.
Q: Is it safe to use in kitchens and bathrooms?
A: Yes. MB-11 is a low-odour, non-toxic compound safe for indoor use, including kitchens and bathrooms. Always clean the surface thoroughly after application if it comes into contact with food preparation areas.
Q: Do I need any special tools or machines?
A: No machines required! All you need is a clean, soft white cloth or paper towel to apply and buff the product by hand. It’s designed for quick and easy use, even for first-time users.
Q: How many uses can I get from one 170g jar?
A: One jar of MB-11 (170g) can treat multiple etched spots, depending on the size and severity of the damage. For light household touch-ups, a single jar should last through many applications.
Q: Can MB-11 remove deep scratches or heavy etching?
A: No. MB-11 is best for light surface etching and minor stains. Deeper damage or heavy etching may require professional restoration or re-honing by a stone care specialist.
Q: Will this work on engineered stone or quartz?
A: No. MB-11 is intended only for natural, calcium-based stones like marble, travertine, limestone, and onyx. It is not suitable for engineered stones, quartz, or granite.
Q: Should I seal my marble after using MB-11?
A: Absolutely! To help prevent future stains and etching, we recommend sealing your marble with a premium stone sealer after polishing. Stone Doctor Australia offers a wide range of sealers suitable for indoor marble surfaces.
Q: Does vinegar remove etching on marble?
A: No, vinegar does not remove etching – it actually causes it. Vinegar is acidic and can damage marble by reacting with the calcium in the stone, leaving behind dull, lighter spots. To avoid etching, never use vinegar or acidic cleaners on marble surfaces. Instead, use a specialised product like MB-11® Marble Etch Remover to safely restore the shine.
