Choose from the 2 available polishing powders when you wish to have your marble, limestone amd travertine surfaces polished. Our polishing powders are oxalate based an it reacts with the surface to create a long lasting hardened polished finish when work is done over calcium based substrates. Generally all marble, limestone and travertine slabs and tiles are rich in calcium carbonate. We would suggest to go with Lithofin MPP when polishing highly calcified stone types and the Diaglo M would be generally the first choice as it more user friendly and more forgiving. Either product is excellent and requires a high level of skill and experience to get desired results. Often these polishing powders are used along side our white polyester polishing pad. Consult with our stone care consultants to select which of the two would be better for your polishing projects. Note: In general, surfaces should be ground smooth to a minimum of 1000 grit before polishing. However this guide will vary from one stone type to another. An experienced stonemason will be able to know at which grits to grind and then to polish accordingly.
